SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 22, 2018 -- AMMO, Inc. (OTC:POWW), a technology leader and premier American ammunitions manufacturer, today announced the introduction of its latest innovative product line called Night OPS. The Night OPS line of ammunition is expected to begin distribution to retail outlets before the end of the calendar second quarter.
The labs at AMMO, Inc. set out to create the ultimate round for law enforcement, military training, and self-defense use. Night OPS is the revolutionary combination of AMMO, Inc.'s two most notable technologies: non-incendiary visual ammunition and frangible hollow points. This blend from the STREAK Visual Ammunition and One Precise Shot (OPS) lines has some key advantages:
- Violent crime happens most in the hours of darkness, according to the Department of Justice. With Night OPS, defenders and law enforcement can track their shots and adjust fire quickly.
- Night OPS employs tungsten-copper-composite frangible projectiles which dump 100% of their energy in the target, minimizing the risk of pass-through and collateral damage. This technology also increases safety when training indoors.
- The frangible projectile practically vaporizes on impact with steel targets. Spall, ricochet, and splash are virtually eliminated, further enhancing safety.
- Hyper-Clean technology fouls less, decreases malfunctions and cleaning time, thereby increasing training time.
Night OPS enhances training for individuals and agencies alike. The visual aid generates no heat, and frangibility improves safety when shooting steel targets at short distances. Night OPS is the perfect choice for military and law-enforcement indoor and close-contact training.
“Our goal is to provide the shooting sports marketplace with innovative solutions that meet the exacting standards of law enforcement personnel, the military and professional shooters. We have been working diligently on perfecting the Night OPS line of ammunition and are excited about introducing it to the marketplace in the coming months,” commented Steve Hilko, AMMO Inc.’s Chief Operating Officer. “STREAK Visual Ammunition offers unique characteristics that were never before available, such as providing a visual signature in a non-incendiary format that eliminates any additional heat originating from the projectile. This combination will create a significant opportunity for agencies to enhance their training exercises within indoor facilities.”
