Newton, Mass., Dec. 30, 2016 -- Adviser Investments announced today that it has been recognized as one of “Boston’s 2016 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” by the National Association for Business Resources. Adviser Investments was one of 23 organizations named to the list.
Adviser Investments was acknowledged for its commitment to employees’ work/life balance, investment in technology, profit-sharing contributions to employees’ 401(k) plans, the company’s bonus programs and its highly competitive benefits package.
“We are honored to be named one of Boston’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, and the recognition of our ongoing commitment to creating a workplace where employees can excel,” said Adviser Investments President Dan Silver. “We’ve worked hard to build a culture that enables us to attract and retain top talent, which translates into the personalized service and investment expertise we’ve offered our clients for more than two decades.”
The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For award honors organizations that display a commitment to excellence in their human resource practices and employee enrichment. Organizations submit applications and are then assessed in areas such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more.
Internal development is a primary focus for employee growth at Adviser Investments. To that end, the firm offers a mentoring program, cross-departmental training and sends key employees to leadership workshops and other seminars and conferences of relevance. The company also supports employees’ professional growth with continuing-education allowances and in-house training with outside experts, including effective communication techniques, public speaking, meetings with portfolio managers and even etiquette lessons.
“Our employees remain our greatest asset, and we are constantly looking for ways to show our appreciation and support through various internal and external programs,” said Adviser Investments CEO and Chairman Dan Wiener. “Our culture focuses on communicating, executing and learning and this has enabled us to grow into one of the largest independent financial advisers in the country. We are pleased to celebrate and share this award with everyone in the firm.”
The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For competition scores potential winners by benchmarking them against other companies in their region and across the nation. This national program celebrates those companies that are building better businesses, creating richer lives for their employees and building stronger communities.
The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For award caps a banner year for Adviser Investments. In October, the firm received Fidelity’s Be Greater award, recognizing registered investment advisers who are evolving their businesses to meet ever-changing demands of a growing and sophisticated investor class. Fidelity singled out Adviser Investments among all RIAs with more than $1 billion in total assets under management that use its custodian and record-keeping services.
Earlier this month, Adviser Investments was one of 50 organizations named a Best Place to Work in Money Management by Pensions & Investments magazine.
Also in 2016, Adviser Investments was named to Barron’s list of the top 100 independent financial advisers nationwide and its list of the top advisory firms in Massachusetts for the fourth consecutive year. It has also been recognized on the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers list in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
