Abey Gunasekarage is a senior lecturer in finance at the Department of Banking and Finance, Monash University, Australia. Prior to joining Monash, he has worked at the University of Canterbury (New Zealand), University of Waikato (New Zealand) and University of Sri jayewardenepura (Sri Lanka). Abey received his BSc Honours from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka and MAcc & PhD from the University of Dundee, UK. He has published widely in international journals on Dividend Policy, Mergers and Acquisitions, Financial Markets, Performance of investment strategies, Bank Performance, Ownership Structure and the Efficiency of emerging capital markets.
