Teacher in adult and vocational education, Charles Sturt University
I have taught in schools, TAFE and now in the university sector. Whilst a TAFE teacher in English/Communication, I was also Secretary of the TAFE Teachers Association in NSW for over 15 years, and Federal TAFE President of the Australian Education Union for 6 years. I have served on a range of Boards and educational committees, including the Board of NCVER. My current work is as a casual academic at Charles Sturt University in the areas of adult and vocational education, and as a researcher and consultant in adult education. I am also the Secretary of AVETRA, the National Convenor of Women in Adult and Community Education (WAVE) and a spokesperson for the TAFE Community Alliance.
