Kate teaches urban and regional planning as part of the professionally accredited Master of Planning course at Geography and Spatial Science, University of Tasmania. Her research is underpinned by an interest in place and places, and the possibility of political dissent. She is currently lead CI for the ARC Discovery Project 'Geographies of house and contents under-insurance' (DP170100096), and is part of Tourism Tracer – a project collecting tracking data of tourist movements.
