I have been a finance professor at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business for over 20 years. I have been the director of the Global Business Outlook, a worldwide survey of CFOs, for the more than 20 years. I research and teach corporate finance and tax issues.
I obtained my undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and my PhD from Duke University. Previous work experience includes working as a senior economist at Virginia Power.
