Dr. Omair Uthmani is the Programme Leader of the Networking and Security suite of degrees at Glasgow Caledonian University.
As an academic entrepreneur, he successfully launched a spinout company having secured funding from Scottish Enterprise in order to commercialise security-focused communication technology based on this innovative research work. He has directed, organised, presented and published research work in the areas of Cyber security, secure communications, privacy and legal informatics as part of a dissemination strategy.
Dr Uthmani’s key areas of interest include digital security, secure information sharing, malware investigation, and identity and privacy in the digital age.
