I am an Associate Professor of Architecture and Canada Research Chair in Architectures in Spatial Justice at McGill University. My current research projects lie in three broad areas: Campus design and school architecture, housing and participatory design, civil protest and urban design. My first book, "Istanbul Open City" was on representations of the city in popular media, including photography, films, exhibitions, and museums.
