Tinashe is a development economist with experience in trade and investment policy and value chain analysis. He is a published author, a columnist in the Farmer’s Weekly, and a regular contributor to popular Business Day and Daily Maverick among others, providing global and regional insights on markets and trade policy. He is currently a Senior Program Officer at the Alliance for a Green Revolution for Africa (AGRA). He works with a number of firms, including the Bureau for Food and Agricultural Policy (BFAP) as a Research Associate, and the National Association of Allied and Component Manufacturers Association (NAACAM), as a Trade Advisor. He has previously served in various capacities at Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), Agricultural Business Chamber (Agbiz), Trade and Industry Policy Strategies (TIPS), the Alliance for Commodity Trade in Eastern and Southern Africa (ACTESA), the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) Seriti Institute, Genesis Analytics, among others. Tinashe holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Pretoria.
