My research interests are related to Bitcoin and Ethereum and how consensus is built in the communities surrounding these technologies. In particular, I am focused on how understanding cryptocurrencies is best achieved by examining the community structure and cultural values they exhibit, rather than the economic activity they create. I have published in journals such as Organization Studies, Organization, The Information Society, and Theory, Culture, and Society.
