My area of expertise centers on sustainable food systems and the powers that give rise to social justice, environmental sustainability and economic viability issues permeating the food system. I am currently a Research Associate at the University of Waterloo where I am collaborating with Prof. Steffanie Scott and other researchers to examine the impacts of COVID-19 on food security as well as the linkages between agroecology and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Prior to this role, I held an IPaSS postdoctoral fellowship at the Balsillie School of International Affairs where I engaged in food security research of the SSHRC-funded Hungry Cities Partnership (HCP).
