Damilola Agbalajobi

Lecturer, Poliitical Science, Obafemi Awolowo University
Damilola Agbalajobi is a political scientist and a gender specialist. Her research experience began in 2006 at Redeemer’s University, Nigeria. Damilola has written a couple of articles that have appeared in learned peer review journals and books on Women in politics; Women and Peacebuilding; Gender and Power; Gender and Corruption, Gender and Governance in Africa, Gender and Climate Change, Gender-Based Violence and sustainable Development, Violence and Women in Election, and more.

Since 2008, she has won various travel grants to attend and present papers at various international conferences on various aspect of politics and developmental studies. In addition, she also has keen interest in multi-method research designs having gone through extensive training from The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) and The Institute for Qualitative and Multi-Method Research (IQMR) hosted by the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Center for Qualitative and Multi-Method Inquiry, Syracuse University.

She has also participated in other workshops and national orientation programmes in Nigeria. A member of many academic and learned societies including the Nigerian Political Science Association, Member Political Studies Association, A fellow of the Nigeria Young Academy etc. She has ongoing research on Gender and Governance in Africa.

Damilola has a PhD in Political Science from the Department of Political Science, the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and she is also a Faculty member of the Department of Political Science, Obafemi Awolowo University Nigeria.
