The official preview of “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 6 does not have a shortage of cats. However, these usually adorable pets appear to be linked to Moroha and her cousins’ next demon-slaying adventure.

The brief video teaser shows Moroha, Setsuna, and Towa receiving their next mission in “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 6. They are tasked to solve the case of missing travelers, but this will lead them to a different problem as they encounter a village that houses an absurdly large number of cats.

Thanks to their demon-sensing abilities, the trio appears to immediately deduce the village’s problem. In the same way, the cats seem to recognize them as enemies as well. At one point in the “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 6 preview, Towa pets a cat but it growls at her and exposes a pair of scary red eyes.

“Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 6 synopsis suggests that Moroha, Setsuna, and Towa will investigate this mystery further and chase after a group of cats that will escape from the village. This will lead them to an ancient temple where their next action-packed fight will also take place.

She notes that the monk named Juan – who is very likely related to the cat demon – looks almost exactly like Mei’s pop star idol in the modern era. Considering that the preview allotted a few seconds to establish how Juan and Julian almost look identical, it would not be surprising if this leads to a much bigger plot in the series. This also fuels fan theories that the demons from the feudal era may have been existing in the modern world disguised as humans.

Fans also find it adorable how Moroha rides a bicycle basket much like her father in the “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” episode 6 preview. Aside from the new mysteries unfolding, it has been fun to find these bits of references to the original series. The new series is also bringing back some familiar faces such as Myoga, who joined Moroha in episode 5.
