The Wendy's Company announced the arrival of its new sandwich called the Pretzel Baconator. This is the upgraded version of the favorite Baconator burger that is presented with a twist.
According to Mashed, the new burger is made with ½ pound of beef patty topped with six slices of Applewood smoked bacon. It is completed with melted American cheese, signature mayonnaise, and ketchup.
Improved Classic Baconator Burger
While this may appear to be the same classic Baconator that everyone loves, this is slightly different as the buns have been replaced with pretzels. This small change to a soft and buttery pretzel was simply described as "an improvement on the original."
It was noted that the Baconator range is one of the most successful food items on Wendy's menu. It was first introduced in 2007 and has been a mainstay since then. Customers may get the new delectable sandwich for $10.85, but the price still varies depending on the store location.
Release Date, Availability, and Special Offer
Wendy's launched the new Pretzel Baconator today, Wednesday, Nov. 29. However, this will be in stores for a very limited time only. Moreover, the burger joint is also offering a special treat for Uber Eats users - the new burger is free for a minimum purchase of any food amounting to $20. Customers must take note that this offer will only be available until Sunday, Dec. 3.
"Our fans' adoration for the pretzel bun inspired our newest twist on a Wendy's classic created for pretzel lovers and bacon fanatics alike," The Wendy's Company's US chief marketing officer, Lindsay Radkoski, said in a press release. "This time of year, we know our customers crave satisfying, comfort food they can rely on – enter the Pretzel Baconator, a flavorful addition to our beloved Baconator lineup."
John Li, the burger chain's global vice president of culinary innovation, further stated, "Bringing innovation to our iconic Baconator is a big moment for fans of Wendy's freshly cooked, crisped to perfection bacon. This artisanal twist on our beloved classic creates a mouth-watering balance of texture and flavor that's sure to meet our customers' evolving tastes and cravings."
