Wendy’s U.K. recently launched a limited-edition Frozen Hot Chocolate Frosty, sparking excitement overseas. U.S. fans, however, are feeling left out, expressing their hopes that the festive flavor will be introduced stateside in time for the winter season.
Wendy’s U.K. Launches Festive Frozen Hot Chocolate Frosty, Leaving U.S. Fans Eager for a Release
Wendy’s fans in the U.S. are clamoring for the fast-food chain to release a newly introduced Frosty flavor that has debuted overseas. Earlier this week, Wendy’s U.K. revealed an all-new version of its iconic soft-serve dessert, which is now available at participating locations for a limited time. While the U.S. markets are still amid Halloween-themed specials, Wendy’s U.K. has already moved on to a festive winter treat.
In an October 8 Instagram post, Wendy’s U.K. announced the launch of its Frozen Hot Chocolate Frosty. The limited-edition dessert captures the “comforting taste of hot chocolate chilled into a cool, creamy delight.” The treat features Wendy’s signature Chocolate Frosty, swirled with rich chocolate sauce and fluffy mini marshmallows.
U.S. Fans Jealous as Wendy’s U.K. Debuts Frozen Hot Chocolate Frosty, Sparking Calls for U.S. Release
The news quickly caught the attention of Snackolator, a U.S.-based food blogger with 477,000 Instagram followers. After the post was shared, many American fans expressed their jealousy, with some venting their frustration at the lack of similar offerings in the U.S.
One commenter joked, “They always get the good stuff, man,” referring to the many international menu items that never make it stateside. Another fan lamented, “Never anything good in the U.S. smh,” while a third hopeful follower declared, “Let us pray they bring this here!”
Some fans expressed disappointment that international markets seem to get more exciting flavors than the U.S., where more basic offerings like the orange cream Frosty prevail. However, it was pointed out that Wendy’s did release a Pineapple Frosty as part of a limited-edition Spongebob meal, although that hasn’t quelled the demand for new flavors.
One fan noted that a similar frozen hot chocolate treat is available at Dunkin’ without the crucial mini marshmallows that Wendy’s U.K. version boasts.
While there is still time before winter fully sets in, U.S. fans are hopeful that Wendy’s will bring this festive flavor stateside in time for the colder months.
