‘Wayward Pines’ season 2’s episode 9, entitled “Walcott Prep”, will find Theo and Xander working together despite their differences in order to save the human race from Jason’s latest deadly scheme.

The synopsis posted on Carter Matt stated, “Pilcher recalls finding his Chosen One. Then, as the Abbies close in, Jason makes a fatal judgment call and Theo and Xander must put aside their differences to stop him before the human race is lost.”

Episode 9 will find Jason making decisions that may lead to deadly consequences and this puts Theo and Xander in a position where they have to work together to prevent the destruction of the human race.

In the episode’s promo, Jason is seen pointing out that thousands of Abbies have begun to congregate right outside the wall. This puts the whole town in danger of an actual attack.

In later footage, Jason declares, “There is only one way out. We’ll go back to sleep”. However, the pods are revealed to be insufficient in number, unable to take in the entire town’s population. Jason intends to keep the problem a secret from the rest of the township. Meanwhile, Theo is obviously not keen with following orders from a “kid” and is planning on turning things around.

It would be interesting to see what Theo and Xander have planned to save all humans and what Jason has in store for everyone.

According to Google TV, returning for the incoming episode are Jason Patric as Dr. Theo Yedlin, Josh Helman as Xander Beck, and Tom Stevens as Jason Higgins. Guest starring are Toby Jones as David Pilcher, Emma Tremblay as Lucy, Christopher Meyer as Mario, Tim Griffin as Adam Hassler, Michael Garza as Frank, Siobhan Fallon Hogan as Arlene Moran, and Amitai Marmorstein as Oscar.

‘Wayward Pines’ is a mystery-thriller and science-fiction television series airing on Fox. It is based on the novels of the same name penned by Blake Crouch. It was developed for the small screen by Chad Hodge and executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan, who also directed the series’ pilot episode.

The network renewed the show for a second season on December 2015. Episode 9 is scheduled to air on July 20 on FOX.
