‘Vikings’ Season 5 Major Spoilers: Ivar the Boneless Might Survive Until Season 6, Star Teases

“Vikings” Season 5 has split the fandom a bit with regards to whom viewers really want to win the struggle over Kattegat. Some want Lagertha (Kathryn Winnick) to win while there are those who are actually rooting for Ivar the Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen) to prevail. Regardless of the results of the fight, though, it seems Ivar might just survive “Vikings” Season 5 based on the star’s recent social media post. [Major Spoilers Ahead].

Posting a photo of himself getting fitted into his costume recently on Instagram, Alex Hogh Andersen nonchalantly sent his fans into a frenzy. It isn’t because of the photo either. Rather, it’s because of the caption, which might have just given away some major spoilers for “Vikings” Season 5.

“This is my reaction every time Conor is touching my body. My god, we enjoy [each other’s] company,” the caption reads.

Before getting into the implications of this post, however, it’s worth discussing the photo for a bit. How weird is it to see Ivar smiling without looking like an absolute maniac? This isn’t an image that can be found anywhere in “Vikings” Season 5, that’s for sure.

Coming back to the caption, while the caption might appear to be a harmless means of sharing the actor’s life on set, it could also be a hint that Ivar will be in Season 6. If so, this could mean that he will survive the events of “Vikings” Season 5. Whether he was driven out of Kattegat after losing or he won and killed Lagertha would be the question worth answering.

The fans quickly picked up on this tidbit as well, Express.co.uk notes, sending them into a frenzy. Some have even expressed excitement over the thought of Ivar being victorious. Everything will be revealed in time once “Vikings” Season 5 returns on Nov. 29.
