“Vikings” season 5 episode 13 spoilers are here. It promises intense drama as tensions between King Alfred and the Vikings grew. Ivar the Boneless’ (Alex Hogh Andersen) reign also continues to wreak havoc to the people so more bloodshed is expected as well.
As posted on IMDB, “Vikings” season 5 episode 13 is called “A New God” and its summary reads: “Heahmund must convince King Alfred that his actions are in defense of the crown; Ubbe and Torvi strengthen the position of the Vikings, but not all in the Viking camp support their strategy; another settler disappears in Iceland.”
The promo video for the thirteenth episode is also out now and as can be seen in the clip, the upcoming chapter will show the most melodramatic scenes in the series so far. Firstly, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), Bjorn and Heahmund arrived in the land of King Alfred and they learned that the king wants to baptize the Vikings to Christian faith.
It was Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) who spilled the plan to Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) and apparently, this plan did not sit well with them. It is yet to see what will happen next – Will the king be able to convert the Vikings before they serve him?
“Vikings” season 5 episode 13 will also bring the continuation of the story after Heahmund (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) killed Lord Cuthred (Jonathan Delaney Tynan). He will try to justify his move by telling the king that he did it to defend the crown. However, it is unlikely that he will never be punished whether the king believes him or not.
Elsewhere, in Kattegat, Ivar the Boneless will show the people how powerful he is. His reign will be feared especially when he ordered for a sacrificial ceremony to proceed. The intriguing part of this ritual is the identity of the person who was sacrificed. When “Vikings” season 5 episode 13 airs, the face of the “sacrificial lamb” would be revealed.
“Vikings” season 5 episode 13 will air on Dec. 12 at 9 p.m. on History.
