U.S. Election Series: How divided is the Republican Party?

The answer is “Very” over Donald Trump becoming Presidential nominee of the Republican Party.

Trump’s anti-establishment campaign, arrogant attitude and insults to other runners have split the party so hard that lot many of them would prefer to see another Democratic President in the White House than see Trump.

Two living former President, George Bush Senior and George W Bush have made I clear that they will not support Trump, since he insulted Jeb Bush during campaign as low energy guy, which finally led to the demise of his bid. Both of them have always endorsed a Republican nominee.

Last two Republican Presidential nominee, Mitt Romney and John McCain have said they would not support Trump and will not be attending July convention. Both of them in recent past have spoken against voting for Trump publicly and have been prominent figure in “Stop Trump” movement.

Many of the traditional Republican donors have refrained themselves this year from opening up the purse and not likely to do so, with Trump being the candidate.

Yesterday, the most powerful Republican in the congress, Paul Ryan said that he wants to but yet not ready to support Trump.

Many however calling for the party members to unite behind Trump, since he won fair and square.

As of now, path is really murky that how Mr. Trump can unite a Party, this divided over him.
