Turkish consumer sentiment index falls sequentially in February

Turkish consumer sentiment falls in February. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the consumer confidence index dropped 0.7 percent sequentially. The index fell to 57.8 from January’s print of 58.2. The financial situation expectation of household index in the next 12 months period which was 77.1 in January, dropped 2.4 percent to 75.2 in February.

The general economic situation expectation index dropped 2 percent to 75 in February from 76.5 in January. Meanwhile, the number of people unemployed expectation index dropped 3.1 percent to 59 from January’s 60.9.

The probability of saving index rose 20.2 percent to 22 in February from January’s 18.3.
