“The OA” season 2 is finally coming after a long delay. The series created by Brit Marling who also stars as the titular character will be back to continue the amazing tale of Prairie, a young blind woman who disappeared for seven years and came back with her eyesight restored.
“The OA” season 2 is much awaited for the viewers just can’t wait to see what will happen next to Prairie. She also claimed to be an angel – the “Original Angel,” thus the title, and there is still a lot to know about the other dimension experience. And, can she be with Homer again?
“The OA” season 2 will pick up where it left off in season 1. It can be recalled that Prairie’s recruited five people and she taught them “The Movements” to be able to open the portal to the other dimension. In the first season’s finale, OA’s friends performed the movements that distracted the shooter who entered the school cafeteria. In the end, OA/Prairie was shot from a stray bullet as the perpetrator and school staff tackled.
In the new “The OA” trailer, Prairie woke up in a hospital and she was being quizzed by a nurse. When she was asked who is the president in the current year 2016, she answered “Barack Obama” but it seems the nurse never heard of him when she said, “Who?” This scene seems to suggest that she entered the portal and in another dimension.
As shared on E! News, the Netflix’s synopsis for “The OA” season 2 reads: “The mind-bending story returns with The OA Part II, which follows OA as she navigates a new dimension, one in which she had a completely different life as a Russian heiress, and one in which she once again finds herself as Hap’s captive.”
Moreover, “BBA, Angie and the boys find themselves on a journey to understand the truth behind OA’s story and the incredible realities she described.”
Brit Marling will still be Prairie and Emory Cohen will return to reprise his role as Homer. Sharon Van Etten (Rachel), Riz Ahmed (Elias) and Jason Isaac (Hap) are in the cast list as support characters. Kingsley Ben-Adir has been added to play Karim Washington, a private detective who will team up with Prairie to solve the disappearance of teenagers.
“The OA” season 2 will return on March 22 via Netflix.
