There more information that video game fans still have yet to know about “The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion.” But, on the bright side, developers of the mod have been making an effort to directly communicate with their fans and letting them know mostly what to expect from the project.
In terms of content, the concept of "The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion" is simple. That is to essentially recreate everything from the "TES 4: Oblivion" using the "Skyrim" development engine.
‘The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion’ gameplay: What to expect
Fans who have just learned about this promising project may still be wondering if an actual fan-made mod can recreate an entire game. Developers of "The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion" have reiterated several times that that is their plan. And based on their communications with the fans over the years, they are not sizing down the magnitude of this project.
As mentioned on the mod's official website, the game will feature everything that was released by Bethesda for "Oblivion" including the "big and small DLC" along with “custom content” created by the developers of “The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion.”
Developers have also confirmed adding gameplay features based on Tamriel lore. Avid fans may recall a location called Sutch that has been written as a lost city used to be between Anvil and Kvatch. Fans who will be playing “The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion” can expect to find Sutch again.
‘The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion’ devs address release date in latest Reddit AMA
As mentioned, developers of “The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion” have constantly been updating their fans through YouTube, the game’s website, and other social media channels. Most recently, Subreddit PCGaming hosted an Ask Me Anything event with the developers of the mod, where one of the first questions tackled was about the release date.
Like the developers said in the previous months, they have not yet set a specific release date while also noting that it is natural for their work pacing to be “irregular” and unpredictable. But the developers also had good news, “Currently we have been experiencing a steady level of activity in several key sectors that has benefited the project immensely.” Fans should keep in mind that all developers are volunteers and they are adamant on not accepting payments or donations for the mod.
