“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 8 will show more diggings around the Smith’s Cove and H2 shaft. In the previous episode, some fans were disappointed with the progress of the excavations, although Rick and Marty Lagina and their team managed to find some new interesting artifacts.
Some of the latest discoveries include two types of brooches, iron spikes, and more wooden structures. The Rhodolite Garnet brooch is still being tested, and if they are correct, this item is from the 1700s.
The new structure
Most probably, the best finding in episode 7 titled “Things That Go Bump” is the wooden structure because they think it is part of a fortress or a building that will lead to the Money Pit. There is also the 90-foot stone that was found in shaft 2, and they are currently investigating what it could be.
As per TV Spoilers, “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7, episode 8 is titled “First Look: Triptych,” and while the synopsis is not yet available, it is possible that they are referring to a work of art. Or perhaps, the stone is the triptych here since this is usually an artwork that is divided into three parts or three carved panels that are attached to each other and can be folded or open up for display.
What to expect in the upcoming episode
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 8 may also show the testing results for the tar paper that they found. It was said that this is used extensively in the 19th century for building edifices. This was found, and they are guessing that some of the early treasure hunters could have built the Smith’s Cove.
“Structures can tell stories, for those willing to look,” one commenter wrote on a thread that shows Gary finding a new structure. “I am guessing some of this might be part of an early fortification. Also, are they sure it is tar paper and not a lightweight canvas or muslin that has been painted with tar pitch to waterproof?”
