History’s popular show, “The Curse Of Oak Island” season 8 is already on its 6th episode and the team is heading to the sea to find more clues. Rick and Marty Lagina are still looking in the swamp but they are moving in a new direction a bit as new details are revealed.
The Lagina brothers and the rest of the team are on Oak Island and they have made amazing discoveries recently. Now they want to explore certain spots as they were highly intrigued and believe that they are getting closer to the Money Pit and discovering things that may change history.
Episode recap
The theory about the Knights Templar is back due to a recent find that seems to show there is truly a connection between the Templars and the treasures buried in Oak Island. In the previous episode 5 titled "The Master Plan," the theory about them was raised again.
This is because the Laginas think a perfect line exists with Versailles as the starting point and it leads to the Temple Mount. Finally, the line ends in Oak Island and this means that the Knights may have truly buried their treasures in the area. Rick and Marty mentioned that the Menorah may be hidden deep in the murky pits on the island.
Interestingly, Erin Shelton brought the Zena Halpern map which seems to show that the theory is correct. She said that the Templars may have used boulders as anchors that will help point where the treasure vault or the Money Pit is located.
The team then started digging again in “The Curse Of Oak Island” season 8 episode 5 to find more clues. They eventually unearthed a rock with strange markings and Alex Lagina tried to see if the markings were natural or man-made.
Spoilers - What to expect and airdate
Now, in the upcoming “The Curse Of Oak Island” season 8 episode 6 titled "Seeing is Believing," the investigation will continue. They will inspect the boulders and the team will also head to the water.
As per History, the plot summary of the next episode reads: “The discovery of an expanding stone roadway under the muck of the swamp sends the team out to sea to investigate exactly how far it reaches.”
In any case, the viewers will see more artifacts as the modern treasure hunters expand the diggings. They will also go in the water further down the swamp. “The Curse Of Oak Island” season 8 episode 6 will air on Dec. 15 at 9 p.m. on the History channel.
