Fans of The CW's post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama are probably wondering where the show has left to go for “The 100” season 6 after the last season's massive plot twist.
The show, loosely based on the novel by Kass Morgan, has gone beyond the original source material's own limits. “The 100” has finally left the bleak but comfortable setting of Earth, showing fans season 6's new setting – a planet that Monty Green (Christopher Larkin) had discovered where the survivors of the Valley can have a new beginning.
The drastic change in setting for the series has fans speculating about what the cast of “The 100” season 6 will encounter when they land on the new planet. Fans on Reddit who are hoping that the new planet will look different from post-apocalyptic Earth may be slightly disappointed by the recent production decisions for “The 100” season 6.
The show's executive producer, Jason Rothenberg, recently posted on Twitter that “The 100” season 6 will be shooting in Vancouver, Canada.

For any fan doubtful that the Vancouver location will be used to portray the alien planet's flora, Rothenberg's next tweet seems to imply that the Canadian woods will become the setting for the new planet chosen by Monty Green.

Unfortunately, the planet looking Canada-like isn't the only thing that some fans of “The 100” are disappointed about. Some Reddit fans are unhappy with the setting being moved to a new planet, feeling that Earth as a setting was never fully utilized throughout the show's five seasons.
Other fans feel that the space travel twist was unnecessary and there are ways to return to an Earth that has recovered and might be able to sustain life once again. Regardless of disappointment, fans in general feel that “The 100” season 6's jumpoff points are interesting enough for the show's writers to have so much room to take the sci-fi series's story in different directions.
While “The 100” season 6 is confirmed to be in the middle of production, the show has yet to have a confirmed air date for its premiere episode. Fans can look forward to 2019 for “The 100” season 6.
