“The 100” Season 6 will literally be starting fresh for its world-building as the show will take audiences to an entirely new planet. And even though the showrunners will still take inspiration from its source material, the deviation from character development to the overarching plotline is expected to be quite large.
And speaking of character development, “The 100” Season 6 will be trying to mend the relationship of Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Clarke (Eliza Taylor). Between the events that involved Madi (Lola Flanery) and both of them fighting for different factions, the characters have a lot of fixing to do before they can put these traumatic events behind them, TV Guide reported.
Fortunately, the healing process has already begun thanks to Monty’s (Christopher Larkin) sacrifice and the wisdom he imparted to both of them. It also helps that “The 100” Season 6 will not have the characters constantly worry about threats and murders. Not yet, anyway.
While the new planet will apparently have inhabitants that have a peaceful society, it’s expected that tension will begin to rise at some point during “The 100” Season 6. Indeed, the new big bad being described as a “visionary” doesn’t bode well for the newcomers.
What’s more, this upcoming villain – which will be played by “Teen Wolf” star J.R. Bourne – is going to be forming a “complicated relationship” with Clarke. Aside from Clarke, however, Bellamy will also have to address the issue involving his sister, Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos). Morley previously provided some hints as to where this side plot is going and what fans can expect from the siblings in “The 100” Season 6.
“I think that Blake sibling relationship is a real barometer of how Bellamy's feeling in any given season or where he's going. I don't think it's something that they can walk away from that easily. That old adage of blood is thicker than water definitely rings true for them, but it's just — there's got to be a lot of water under the bridge before they can kind of develop into something more,” Morley said. Regarding the release date of “The 100” Season 6, CW has slated its premiere to air on April 30.
