Tesla's highly anticipated Robotaxi debut is set for October 10 at a unique location, with additional groundbreaking technology expected to be unveiled. The event was pushed back due to requested design changes.
Event Rescheduled for October 10, Sparks Interest
It has been claimed that Tesla has selected an intriguing venue for the October 10 Robotaxi debut ceremony.
New information surfaced in Bloomberg, which cites sources close to the situation, stating that Tesla intends to showcase its Robotaxi platform and "a few other things" at the Warner Brothers Studio in Burbank, California.
Robotaxi Design Changes Prompt Delay
Originally scheduled for August 8, Tesla's unveiling event has been rescheduled to October 10 as a result of a request for a change to the front-end design, Teslarati shares. CEO Elon Musk hinted that there would be more to showcase at the event, along with the change in date.
Many well-known films and television series have used the Warner Brothers Studio in Burbank as their shooting site. This includes Friends, Twister, Interstellar, Aquaman, and many more.
Tesla's Choice of Venue Raises Speculation About Robotaxi Event
In all, the studio boasts thirty-one distinct stages, each tailored to meet the specific needs of production. A possible motivating element in Tesla's site selection, though, is the enormous size of the studio—110 acres—mentioned in the story.
People are really looking forward to the Robotaxi event. Dan Ives, an analyst, remarked that the delay might work out for the best:
“While the knee-jerk reaction will clearly be negative on a delay of August 8th based on this report that just hit, we believe the timing of robotaxis, partnerships, and the ultimate autonomous and AI-driven technology does not change at all for our bullish Tesla thesis. To some extent, we believe this 2-month delay could just make the actual Robotaxi event and prototypes even better, and more eye-popping for Tesla as Musk and the team know this unlocks the key to the long-term future of the Tesla story, and investors want MORE details…not less at this historic event.”
