Tesla Cybertruck Gets Major Upgrades in Exciting Spring Update

The Spring update will introduce key improvements to Tesla's Cybertruck, including enhanced maneuverability and home power sharing.

Tesla's latest Spring update promises to elevate the Cybertruck with advanced features such as Vehicle to Home Powersharing and a series of customization options, enhancing utility and aesthetics.

Improved Functionality Across Tesla Models

Teslarati reports that with new enhancements for Model 3 and Model Y units with AMD chips, Auto Shift Beta improvements for Model S and Model X units from the 2021 model year and later, and the introduction of Hands-Free Trunk capabilities, Tesla's forthcoming Spring update is expected to be significant. According to Tesla, the next update will bring a few extra treats for the Cybertruck.

Cybertruck to Power Homes in New Update

In its official Cybertruck account on X, Tesla noted that the Spring update would introduce Powersharing from Vehicle to Home, enabling Cybertruck owners to power their homes during grid outages using the Universal Wall Connector & Powershare Gateway.

Along with features like Colorizer to match digital wraps with real-life ones, New Horn and Lock Sounds for customization, Cabin Overheat Protection to maintain a set temperature for up to 12 hours after parking, and an improved turning circle for easier parking and low-speed maneuvers.

The Cybertruck's turning radius will be improved most significantly with the Spring update. As per Tesla on X, the circle will be enlarged by 1.6 feet, making parking and low-speed maneuvers more straightforward for drivers. Tesla Cybertruck Lead Engineer Wes Morrill posted a video of a Cybertruck Release Candidate with an enhanced turning circle.

The short video, shared on social media platform X, reveals that the Cybertruck boasts a significantly reduced turning radius.

Though the EV manufacturer is still fine-tuning the all-electric pickup truck, the Tesla Cybertruck is undoubtedly the company's most advanced vehicle. Per our recent report, Cybertruck deliveries have reportedly been temporarily suspended so that Tesla can fix a problem with the vehicle's accelerator pedal and ensure that all functionalities meet Tesla's standards.
