XRP price gained 2.82% in the past 24 hours, reaching $1.38 as the cryptocurrency market recovered from two consecutive days of losses. The rebound comes as XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded fresh inflows despite continued withdrawals from Bitcoin and Ethereum investment products.
Bitcoin climbed 2.51% to surpass $83,000, while Ethereum recovered to $2,490. Meanwhile, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization increased 1.87% to $2.79 trillion, reflecting renewed buying interest across major digital assets.
According to SoSoValue data, spot XRP ETFs attracted $8.17 million in net inflows on October 8. Franklin Templeton's XRPZ accounted for the entire amount, while the other four XRP funds reported no net flows.
In contrast, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced $244 million in net outflows. Fidelity's FBTC led withdrawals with $197 million, while Franklin's EZBC was the only fund recording positive flows, attracting $4.71 million.
Ethereum ETFs also faced selling pressure, posting $72.544 million in net outflows and extending their withdrawal streak to eight consecutive trading sessions.
Despite broader institutional weakness, XRP ETFs maintained cumulative net inflows of $1.80 billion, with total assets reaching $1.56 billion and daily trading volume of $65.44 million.
The latest XRP price recovery has raised questions about whether the cryptocurrency can reclaim the psychologically important $1.50 level.
XRP recently declined from approximately $1.50 before finding support near $1.35. Although buyers initiated a rebound, the token struggled to break above the immediate $1.40 resistance level.
Technical indicators suggest bearish pressure may be weakening. XRP's Relative Strength Index (RSI) stood at 36, approaching the oversold threshold of 30.
Meanwhile, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator showed a reading of -0.0278, compared with its signal line at -0.0270. The histogram registered -0.0008, suggesting fading bearish momentum without confirming a bullish crossover.
For XRP price to reach $1.50, it must gain approximately 8.7% from $1.38. A sustained four-hour move above $1.40 could establish momentum toward $1.45, potentially opening the path to $1.50.
However, failure to defend the $1.35 support level could trigger renewed selling pressure, exposing the next major support zone near $1.30.
