A lot can happen in one NBA season, and people and basketball fanatics are wondering if Stephen Curry will remain as one of the top NBA players now that the Golden State Warriors will not be making a trip to the Finals for the time since 2014.
The Golden State is not one of the 22 teams preparing for the resumption of the NBA 2019-2020 season inside the NBA bubble at the Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
The Warriors, for the first time in seven years, did not make it to the Playoffs after dropping at the bottom rung of the Western Conference with a 15-50 win-loss record.
The 2019-2020 NBA season was a reality check for the Warriors, and perhaps one of the biggest factor was having Curry only playing five games before the Warriors bowed out of contention.
Not surprising since Curry was not able to play for a little over four months after he broke his hand during the game against the Phoenix Suns last October 30, 2019, that they lost 121-110.
So, with the Warriors out of the running this season, will Stephen Curry maintain his position as one of NBA's top players?
Interestingly enough, Curry is on the top 5 list of top 100 players for NBA season 2019-2020 done by media establishments.
NBC Sports lists Curry at the fifth spot while Bleacher Report had him at the no.2 spot.
The six-time NBA All-Star made it also to the no.13 spot of the top 74 NBA players of all time.
Despite a dismal season, Curry's past achievements will not be easily eclipsed. He has been named the NBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice and has been very instrumental in Golden State Warriors' three championships.
At 32 years old, NBA fans can expect more spectacular action from Curry as he is sure to lead the Golden State Warriors back to its formidable form in the 2020-2021 season, which will be the 75th NBA season.
And, not being in the Finals this season will certainly motivate the Warriors to get back into their winning form come next season.
As for Stephen Curry, he will remain as NBA's greatest shooter of all time whose ability to score all over the floor will always be credited as having changed the way an NBA game is played.
