It’s no secret that Electronic Arts has been considered one of if not, the worst company making video games in the world. The tech giant’s propensity for taking advantage of gamers and bleeding them dry is the main thing it is known for. However, could the company be trying to gain some redemption by releasing “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” as a totally single-player game with no microtransactions?
As CNET reports, a teaser for “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” was just released and it is quite the intriguing image. Posting the marketing ploy on social media, it appears to feature a broken lightsaber placed on a circular carving with glowing runes. Suffice it to say, this has set the internet abuzz with speculations as to what the game is going to be about.

Now, there are a few things that are known about the title that might give fans of the franchise an indication of what to expect when it is unveiled on Saturday, April 13 in Chicago. To start with, the story will be set right after “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.” This means that “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” will be set right around the time that Order 66 was given and the Jedi are being hunted down.
Considering that the teaser also came with the tagline “Don’t stand out,” this could indicate that the players will be taking on the role of the survivors of the order. New main characters will likely be introduced that fans will absolutely love, much like Starkiller. On that note, the matter that will be of most interest regarding “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” is the kind of game it will be.
EA has been churning out only multiplayer titles recently and the company has intimated in the past that it will only be focusing on these types of games in the future. This has led to many complaints about the company. However, if “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” is released as a story-focused title with absolutely no loot boxes, it could pave the way for its redemption.
