Unfortunately, the wait for “Spy x Family” chapter 24 will be a bit longer this time. It appears that the team is currently on a one-week break which means there will be a two-week gap between chapters. In the meantime here’s a brief recap of the recently released manga installment.
With the terrorists already dealt with, the plot did not focus too much on Loid or on Yor. Rather, “Spy x Family” chapter 23 was all about Anya and her new yet unnamed dog.
Anya was really excited to show off her new big dog to her classmates. Back in school, she just can’t help but share the news with Becky.
Becky started to ask questions about Anya’s new pet. They were just simple questions really such as its breed and its age. However, Anya just doesn’t know how to answer those questions. Thankfully, it did not seem to bother Becky at all as she even suggested that they should let Anya’s dog play with hers.
But due to her excitement, she decided to look for Damian to let him know about her new pet. However, the boy did not bat an eyelash when he heard of her dog. “Yeah? So What?” he merely responded.
Then Damian asked what the dog’s name is. When Anya told him that she simply calls him "Dog," the boy was disappointed. “You are wholly unfit to own a pet,” Damian told her.
And so the rest of the chapter was all about Anya trying to find a proper name for her new friend. She would have named him Peanut but Becky objected by saying a dog’s name should go with how he looks.
The family decided to go for a walk in the park hoping Anya will find inspiration for the dog’s name. Twilight / Loid discussed a few tips on how to name a dog but it even confused the young girl even more.
An incident at the park where the dog successfully retrieved Anya’s gloves from another dog got Anya into thinking that her pet just looks like a bondman. Thus, she named him “Bond” in the end.
“Spy x Family” chapter 24 will be released on March 24. Stay tuned for updates.
