‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 4, Episode 5 Spoilers: “Blood From a Stone” – Dreyfuss’ Former Partner Returns with a Vengeance, Sheds Light on Past Supernatural Dealings

‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4’s episode 5, titled “Blood From a Stone,” will feature Dreyfuss as he deals with a former partner who returns from the dead with a vengeance. This sheds more light on Dreyfuss’ past supernatural dealings.

The synopsis for “Blood From a Stone” posted on TV Guide reads, “Details about Dreyfuss' (Jeremy Davies) past involvement with supernatural occurrences are revealed when his former partner resurfaces to get even.”

In the upcoming episode, details of Dreyfuss’ mysterious past slowly unravel as he gets closer to making progress with his latest secret mission. However, complications arise when his former partner returns to town to settle unfinished business with him. It seems that Dreyfuss has already been involved with the supernatural.

Malcolm Dreyfuss was introduced as the owner of a large corporation with hidden motives. The character first appeared on season 4’s episode 1, titled “Columbia,” which picked up after the events of Abbie Mills’ (Nicole Beharie) death.

The promo reveals that Dreyfuss’ former partner is a powerful and rather violent warlock seeking revenge. Ichabod (Tom Mison) and agent Diana Thomas (Janina Gavankar) will work on subduing the creature before more deaths occur. By the end of the promo, the warlock targets Diana and it looks like she could be having a heart attack.

It also seems that Dreyfuss isn’t all too surprised that an angry undead creature is after him, fueling more speculation of his dark past. It is more than likely that Dreyfuss already has ties with the supernatural world, according to International Business Times. It would be interesting to find out why Dreyfuss’ former partner is out to get him and how he died in the first place.

‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4’s episode 5, titled “Blood From a Stone,” is scheduled to air on February 3, 2017 on Fox. The episode was written by Theo Travers. It will be followed by episode 6, titled "Homecoming," directed by Jim O'Hanlon and scheduled for February 10.
