‘Shokugeki no Soma’ Chapter 309 Release Date, Spoilers: Azami Returns; Leak Hints at Flashback of Erina's Parents Together

“Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 309 brings back a surprising character and someone who used to be the main antagonist — Azami Nakiri. A leak reveals that the next chapter will open with Erina Nakiri’s father barging into the ongoing BLUE match between Asahi Saiba and Yukihira Soma.

BakaData.com reports a translation of presumably a teaser or a leaked portion of “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 309. It indicates that the next chapter’s first image includes Erina saying, “Fa...ther…” This suggests that Azami surprisingly arrives at the competition venue.

It can be recalled that Azami was once the series adversary and he had been treating Erina terribly even though he is her biological father. He once used his influence on the Totsuki Culinary Academy’s Elite Ten Council to remove his father, Senzaemon Nakiri, from his position as the school’s director. However, he might not be as bad as he used to be once he returns in “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 309.
