When the current manga arc will end is still unknown, but fans know that all these developments are very likely leading to an epic cooking battle between Soma and Asahi Saiba. Given the latest events, it is also possible that readers will see more interaction between these rivals in “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304.
The most recent manga chapters are giving Soma more reasons to be motivated in defeating Asahi. The things that recently happened in this arc are mostly related to Erina. However, it would also make sense if Soma gets involved and “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304 might building up to this.
Asahi is still obsessing about marrying Erina and she obviously does not plan on making it happen. However, it was also revealed that Erina's secret wish is to cook a dish that is great enough to convince her mother, Mana, to eat food again. Asahi guarantees he is the only chef that can do that but, of course, Soma disagrees implying that he can do it as well. This is the situation that “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304 will be dealing with.
It might help fans to recall who Mana Nakiri is before reading “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304. She is Erina’s estranged mother and currently serves as the World Gourmet Organization bookmaster. She also has the God Tongue, but she became frustrated in finding a dish that can amaze her. As a result, she stopped consuming food and now gets nutrients through IVs.
It is possible that “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304 will feature some scenes where Soma and Asahi will exchange words. Soma could also have some conversation with Erina where he might assure her they will defeat Asahi and then deal with the Mana situation.
“Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304 is still part of the BLUE arc and that means it will likely include another cooking duel. However, there is still no telling at this point who are the chefs that will go up on stage in the next chapter. It also seems too early for the battle of Soma and Asahi, so fans can rule this one for now. Chapter 304 is slated to be released on Monday, March 25.
