Most fans might have been expecting the BLUE arc to end in an ultimate 1-on-1 cooking battle between Soma and Asahi. However, the events in “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304 might lead to a different direction.
Asahi is clearly the main antagonist in the BLUE arc. When he was first introduced, it was made clear that he will be Soma’s next main rival. However, as the story developed, Asahi’s character has also been deeply linked to Erina. Manga fans are now wondering whether all these foreshadowing storylines will actually end up in a three-way shokugeki. For now, this is still mere speculation but whatever happens in “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304 provide more clues.
“Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304 will pick up from the scene where Soma intervenes in Asahi and Erina’s conversation. The leading Noir chef was taunting Erina that only he can make a dish that will convince her mother, Mana, to use her God Tongue again.
The final panel in chapter 303 showed someone raising his hand and casually asking Asahi if they can offer another possibility. While the person’s identity was hidden, they were shown wearing a piece of cloth tied to their wrist. It is very similar to the familiar headband that Soma wears suggesting that it was he who interjected in the middle of Asahi’s tirade. These brief scene led to the speculations that “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304 will introduce the possibility of a three-way battle later in the arc.
There are other plot predictions for “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304. Some reports believe that Soma will simply challenge Asahi to a shokugeki in the final round of BLUE. While the Asahi-versus-Soma battle has been expected by fans, adding more meaning to it such as helping Erina’s issues with her mother would be a nice touch for the arc.
At this point, it is up to Erina and Soma to defeat the remaining Noir chefs, especially Asahi. The official copy of “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 304 will be released on Sunday, March 24.
