Shiba Inu Alerts Community on Fake Tokens Amid Shibarium’s Breakthrough Integration

Shiba Inu issues a critical alert on counterfeit tokens amid Shibarium’s L2 success.

The Shiba Inu team has issued a stark warning to its community about counterfeit Sheboshis circulating in the cryptocurrency space, posing a risk to unwary investors.

This alert coincides with Shibarium's significant Layer 2 integration, marking a pivotal advancement for the Shiba Inu ecosystem and reinforcing its stance against fraudulent activities. The integration with Tangem enhances the Shiba Inu hardware wallet's capabilities and solidifies Shibarium's position in the L2 landscape, promising a more secure and expansive future for SHIB enthusiasts.

Shiba Inu Warns of Counterfeit Tokens Amid Shibarium's Growth and Innovation

According to U.Today, Sheboshis has gained traction in the cryptocurrency community since its inception in late February. However, recent developments have revealed the existence of fraudulent tokens masquerading as genuine Sheboshis, or (SHEB) tokens, posing a risk to unsuspecting investors and community members.

A Shiba Inu project team member issued an alert, urging the SHIB community to remain vigilant and cautious in light of this development.

Lucie, a Shiba Inu team member, issues an important warning to the SHIB community about fake Sheboshis. She highlights the price difference between genuine Sheboshi tokens associated with the Shiba Inu ecosystem and those not.

"Warning: Please understand the crucial difference: SHEB does not have any zeros. Be informed and cautious," Lucie wrote in an X post.

Lucie pointed out that SHEB's price does not include any zeros. She provides a screenshot demonstrating the difference: the real SHEB associated with the Shiba Inu ecosystem traded at a three-digit figure ($276), whereas the phony SHEB token had five zeros in its price tag and was worth less than a cent.

With the adoption of the DN404 standard, Sheboshis are more than just NFTs; they are part of a pioneering movement toward hybrid tokens that promise uniqueness and shared ownership. Sheboshis combines the best ERC-20 and ERC-721 standards to provide liquidity and fractional ownership in the NFT sector.

The Shiba Inu ecosystem has reached a significant milestone with its Layer 2 platform, Shibarium, surpassing 413 million total transactions and 4 million blocks. According to Shibariumscan, Shibarium currently has 413,205,890 transactions and 4,079,830 blocks.

Shibarium now has over 1.39 million (1,394,519) wallet addresses and a thriving ecosystem of applications, demonstrating the platform's increasing popularity.

Shibarium's Integration with Tangem Wallets Unveils New Era for Shiba Inu Ecosystem

In a February report, Shiba Inu layer-2 blockchain Shibarium has received a new integration, much to the delight of the Shiba Inu community. Tangem, a blockchain wallet, announced in a new tweet that it has begun integrating the Shibarium network, indicating that exciting times are ahead.

Shiba Inu announced its partnership with Tangem in May 2023, and SHIB-themed hardware wallets were released several months later.

The Shiba Inu hardware wallet, which had the same capabilities as the traditional Tangem Wallet except for a seed phrase option, could store SHIB alongside thousands of other cryptocurrencies.

Tangem stated in its post-launch roadmap for Shiba Inu-themed wallets that the next logical step was to integrate the Shibarium network.

Tangem stated at the time that its developers were working hard on it and allocating additional resources to make Shibarium on Tangem a reality. It also worked to enable secure Shiboshi storage in the wallet.

Shibarium continues to grow. According to the Shibariumscan Explorer, the total number of transactions reached 364,697,793. There are now 1,361,510 wallet addresses, with a total block count of 3,289,272. Shibarium reported an increase in daily transactions 4.21 million over the last 24 hours.
