‘Shameless’ Season 7, Episode 6 Spoilers: “The Defenestration of Frank" – Debbie Considers Marriage to Keep Baby; Frank Continues Homeless Scam

‘Shameless’ season 7’s episode 6, entitled “The Defenestration of Frank", will feature Debbie as she considers marriage in order to keep her baby Franny. She is being investigated by Child and Family Services for neglect. Meanwhile, Frank will continue to bask in the rewards of his latest scam.

The synopsis for episode 6 posted on Carter Matt stated, “Fiona (Emmy Rossum) discovers the laundromat is for sale and decides to invest in it. Meanwhile, Frank (William H. Macy) revels in the good fortune of his latest scam; Ian (Cameron Monaghan) grapples with mixed feelings about Trevor (Elliot Fletcher); Debbie (Emma Kenney) deals with a bombshell; Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) has second thoughts about military school; and Kev (Steve Howey) and V (Shanola Hampton) discover a shocking secret about Svetlana’s  (Isidora Goreshter) father.”

In the promo, Debbie tells Fiona that she is planning to get married in order to keep Franny. Despite Debbie’s honorable decision, Fiona doesn’t seem too thrilled about the prospect.

In the preceding episode recapped by Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Debbie was left to no choice but beg on the streets with her baby as suggested by Frank. However, she ends up getting into a fight with another homeless woman and is being investigated by Child and Family Services for neglect after someone recorded a video of the fight. Debbie had been struggling to deal with her newfound motherhood.

Meanwhile, Frank seems happy enough to continue his lucrative scam. He tells his group of homeless people at the shelter, "We're in a war. A war with the privileged. Go forth, and take their money!"

Episode 5 saw Frank drinking in his good luck after billionaire philanthropist Simon Epstein bought their makeshift homeless shelter. In addition to having utilities such as hot water and gas on the stove, he was able to rake in some money from homeless people he positioned to beg on the streets for money so he could enough for drugs and food. It seems that there is no stopping Frank from changing up his game plan at this point.

Meanwhile, Fiona continues to struggle with her career and may attempt to invest in a Laundromat after learning that it is up for sale. Perhaps she can finally turn her luck around.

‘Shameless’ season 7’s episode 6, “The Defenestration of Frank", is scheduled to premiere on Showtime on November 6, 2016. It was directed by David Nutter and written by Etan Frankel.
