Saudi Arabia is preparing to host a major U.S.-Saudi investment summit in Washington, D.C., on November 19, coinciding with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to the United States. According to a source familiar with the planning, the event will take place on the sidelines of the Crown Prince’s trip and is not part of his official schedule.
The summit is expected to bring together business leaders, investors, and officials from both countries to strengthen economic and trade partnerships. While both President Donald Trump and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman may make an appearance, their participation is not yet confirmed. The Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia and the U.S.-Saudi Business Council will co-host the event, which is reportedly set to take place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, as first reported by CBS News.
The Crown Prince’s visit to Washington on November 18 includes a meeting with President Trump at the White House. The discussions are expected to cover regional diplomacy, particularly Saudi Arabia’s potential involvement in the Abraham Accords, which aim to normalize relations between Israel and Muslim-majority nations. The visit may also address defense cooperation and a potential U.S.-Saudi defense agreement, a topic highlighted by the Financial Times in recent weeks.
As one of the largest purchasers of U.S. arms, Saudi Arabia continues to play a central role in Washington’s Middle East strategy. The upcoming summit underscores the deepening economic and strategic ties between the two nations, focusing on investment, defense, and regional stability.
