The San Antonio Spurs has raised $200,000 or 66ETH from their NFT drop commemorating all of their coach Gregg Popovich’s 1,336 wins that made him the most winningest coach in NBA history.
The money, which was raised in the first 96 hours, will go to the San Antonio Food Bank.
The 1,336 NFTs were auctioned on OpenSea.
The first five of these NFTs were 1/1s, which commemorated his five NBA Championships so far.
San Antonio was recently named the “Most-impoverished large metro area” for the second time, with 350,000 residents living under the poverty threshold of $26,500 for a family of four last year.
The Spurs’ donation will be much appreciated by all inside of the organization, and the city.
