“Samurai 8: The Tale of Hacimaru” chapter 43 will be the last episode as the manga abruptly ends. With Masashi Kishimoto concluding Hachi’s story, the series only offers a total of five volumes which is far from the author’s “Naruto” series that concluded with 72 volumes.
The announcement
The manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump confirmed via social media that “Samurai 8: Tale of Hachimaru” chapter 43 will be the final story in the manga. Kishimoto stated in the past, when he first announced the new manga in March 2019, that he is aiming to create at least 10 volumes with potential to expand but apparently, he was forced to end it because it was not well-received by the fans.
“And so, here it is! Indeed, Samurai 8 will end this issue with Chapter 43,” the Shonen Jump tweet reads. “First rank for ‘Witch's Guardian’ and next week we'll have cover for ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’ and new ‘Mitama Security’ and act-age Color Pages!.”
Fans were of course devastated with the sudden announcement of “Samurai 8: Tale of Hachimaru” discontinuation. One fan wrote in reaction to the news: “Not fair for #Samurai8 even the ‘Mitama Security’ sales are worse than ‘Samurai 8.’”
Plot prediction
In any case, with the manga series already ending, “Samurai 8: the Tale of Hachimaru” chapter 43 will pick up from the ending of chapter 42 titled “Shooting Star Sword.” In this episode, it was predicted that Hachi will attack Ata with the shooting star sword that he acquired.
It was said that when Hachi learned what the warrior god, Fudo Myo-o’s words really mean, he separated from the locker ball. He then returned to his normal dimension and went to fight Ata. since “Samurai 8: the Tale of Hachimaru” chapter 43 is the last, it is likely that Hachi will win over the villains and everything will be peaceful again.
