Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe will be quenching the thirst of “Outlander” fans soon as its fourth installment is just around the corner. The teaser clips from “Outlander” Season 4 showed that the couple will be finding their place in the early days of North Carolina, a time when slavery was the norm, Celebrity Insider reported.
Of course, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) is appalled with this practice and expressed her distaste in a preview video of “Outlander” Season 4. Meanwhile, Jamie (Sam Heughan) will have a hard time adjusting to this unfamiliar territory but will ultimately build the foundation of their home that will be called Fraser’s Ridge.
Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan have been doing a remarkable job of fleshing out their characters, breathing life to their romance that deeply connects with the series’ audience. Balfe herself previously said that one of the reasons why she portrays the character so well is that there are a lot of similarities between her and Claire. She also said that she admires the perspective and beliefs of the character, which personally helped her developed self-confidence in real life.
“Her empathy and her ability to connect with people and understand the difference of right and wrong and where justice should be—that’s all of the stuff I love about her. And her capacity for loving and living and even fighting so immensely,” Caitriona Balfe said. “She has such an immense capacity for feeling, and that’s such an incredible thing to be able to play. You get to really go for those big emotions and express yourself quite strongly. Playing her has given me a lot of confidence and strength that I don’t think I had five years ago.”
Sam Heughan feels the same way about his character, connecting with Jamie in a profound way that becomes prominent in his portrayal.
“Outlander” Season 4 is slated to return on Nov. 4. There will be a lot of hardships that the protagonist will be facing in this upcoming installment, especially since a new villain is going to be introduced. But Jamie and Claire’s love for each other will once again take the highlight this season, with steamy scenes that will further establish their passion and romance.
