McDonald’s has opened its first restaurant almost without employees in White Settlement, a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas, USA.
A video of this restaurant posted on Twitter shows that once a customer walks in, there’s no one at the counter, and orders must be made on a screen.
Robots will deliver the food ordered. Customers receive their orders on a conveyor belt.
There’s still an employee present to answer questions.
At drive-throughs, customers have to order ahead online, with an automated machine tasked with delivering the food.
McDonald’s is testing this concept at only this location.
The company says the location is designed for people who live on the go.
