“Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 4 will not be airing this week and Adult Swim revealed an unusual reason for doing this. The studio stated that it is forcing the viewers to spend time with their family, apparently, for the Thanksgiving occasion.
In a tweet that was posted on Nov. 26, the studio announced the date when “Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 4 will return. This will be the penultimate episode before it takes a short break and air the other five episodes next year.
Plot summary
When the show returns, it will feature “Rick and Morty” season 4, episode 4 titled “Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim’s Morty,” and it's very short synopsis reads: “Morty gets a dragon in this one and it’s a wild ride broh.”
In the preview video for the upcoming episode, Rick could be seen in the Smith family’s living room with his granddaughter Summer and grandson Morty when suddenly a small volcano popped up and erupted there. The grandpa scientist then said, “And that’s the end of the Morty gets a dragon experiment!”
With what Rick said, it seems to suggest that the volcano was the product of Morty’s experimentation and it involves dragons. A fierce dragon was shown in the trailer and the episode summary also mentioned it, so everything points to the fact that Morty will be getting a dragon in “Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 4.
Airdate - When will the series return after Thanksgiving?
As announced by Adult Swim, “Rick and Morty” season 4, episode 4, will return on Dec. 8 at 11:30 p.m. This will be followed by the last episode before the midseason break - episode 5 titled "Rattlestar Ricklactica" on Dec. 15.
For the airdate after the holidays, it was predicted that the next half of “Rick and Morty” season 4 will be back on air between Jan. 5 to 12, 2020. This season is expected to conclude by February but fans should not worry about the long waiting time for season 5 because Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon already promised that there would be no more long gaps again since they have received the massive 75-episode order in advance.
