Fans have been waiting for “Rick and Morty” season 4 for a long time now and finally, Adult Swim confirmed its premiere date. The almost two years of waiting is over and fans can’t wait to watch the first episode of this installment.
“Rick and Morty” season 4 will be the part of the 70 episodes that were ordered from the series creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. Adult Swim placed the order on May 2018 and with the predicted 10 episodes for this season, the remaining 60 will be divided for the fifth installment and onwards.
No more waiting gaps
The advance order is a good thing because fans will not have to wait long anymore for the next batch of episodes to be released. This is because the series creators can now work continuously since their work is already guaranteed.
As Roiland said, it will let them move at a quicker pace thus the hiatus is avoided. "We're not going to have these big, long gaps between seasons,” he told Gamespot. “We're going to just keep the machine going and schedule staggering vacations for people so we don't burn out. It's going to just be a perpetual production which is exciting."
Release date and Adult Swim Festival
“Rick and Morty” season 4 will premiere in November but the exact day has yet to be announced. Prior to the airing on television, the show will be formally launched on Nov. 16 via the 2019 Adult Swim Festival that will be held at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.
At this event, fans who will be attending will be treated to a special preview of “Rick and Morty” season 4. Adult Swim promised to show a never-before-seen episode from this season’s story. Aside from this, attendees will also get to enjoy performances from Dethklok, Jamie xx, Vince Staples, Young Thug, The Eric Andre Show Live! and Captain Murphy. Lil Nas X, Tierra Whack, Geto Boys and more are also performing.
Stay tuned for updates for the exact air date of “Rick and Morty” season 4. Watch out for the official trailer as well as it is expected to come out soon.
