There’s still no news regarding when “Rick and Morty” Season 4 will come out. However, the creators behind the interdimensional comedy series have hinted that production is going well as hinted by Justin Roiland in this March 15 tweet.
At the earliest, we might see “Rick and Morty” Season 4 in August as it was this time that that the third installment dropped. But since the people behind its production are still busy in creating the fourth entry, the safest bet is still in the fall of 2019.
Whatever the case, a lot of speculations are pointing that “Rick and Morty” Season 4 will be released this year. Regarding its plotline, nothing substantial has come up on the web either. But there have been hints that Evil Morty might be coming back as hinted by storyboard artist Douglas Einar Olsen, Newsweek reported.
“Aw jeez, do we really want an Evil Morty to rule the Citadel??” read the tweet that has now been deleted. Following this, a fan pestered Olsen about “Rick and Morty” Season 4 and ultimately replied with “Guess we’ll just have to see how his administration is fairing this upcoming season!” Of course, this shouldn’t be taken as a confirmation that Evil Morty will indeed be returning.
Regarding the episode count of “Rick and Morty” Season 4, it’ll likely have 10 similar to its three predecessors. While show creator Dan Harmon said that they’re looking to push that number to 14, he also warned fans not to raise their expectations. The third entry was supposed to have 14 episodes too.
But due to some creative conflict, they settled for 10 again, which explains why the third installment ended on a rather normal note. Hopefully, no other complication pops up during the production of “Rick and Morty” Season 4 as fans have been itching for its release for quite a while.
