The popular series “Rick and Morty” is confirmed for a fourth installment. However, Adult Swim as well as creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are yet to announce “Rick and Morty” season 4’s release date. But there are speculations that the release could happen in 2019.
Adult Swim’s “Rick and Morty” is unlike other popular series that have a new season for every year. In fact, a quick look at the airing schedules for season 1 to 3 will show fans that there is about a two-year gap in between each season. This is one clue that fans can take when it comes to the release date of “Rick and Morty” season 4.
Meanwhile, another hint at a 2019 schedule for “Rick and Morty” season 4 also came from Ryan Ridley. He wrote several episodes of the series in the previous seasons and is likely to be part of the upcoming installment as well.
Last May, Ridley was interviewed by the Detroit Cast. When asked about the “Rick and Morty” season 4 release date, the writer said (via HotNewHipHop.com), “I know how long this show takes to write, let alone animate. I’d be surprised if there was a fourth season on the air anytime sooner than 2019… late 2019. Get your s*** together, you guys. Get it all together, and put it in a backpack.”
See you for Season Four in like a really long time #RickandMorty

On a good note, it did not take too long before “Rick and Morty” season 4 was confirmed. Though Adult Swim hinted that the next installment will take a long time to arrive, the good thing is it sure is coming.
More Rick and Morty coming. Looking forward to all the tweets asking where it is! #theydrawingit pic.twitter.com/KZild3B9rP

Another major great news for fans is the confirmation that at least 70 episodes await. It is not clear whether all these 70 episodes are set to be included in “Rick and Morty” season 4 since the last two seasons only had 10 while season 1 had 11 episodes. What’s for sure is that Adult Swim and the creators of the animated series have already penned a “long-term deal,” according to a press release.
