“Rick And Morty” series creator Dan Harmon has finally respond to concerns about the cartoon show’s Season 3 release. Ever since Adult Swim advised viewers that Season 3 will debut “this summer,” the premiere episode that debuted on April Fools’ Day, and the fact that it has been two years since Season 2 has wrapped up has fans getting antsy about the show’s return, Bustle said.
This weekend, Harmon attempted to clear the air about the rumors surrounding Season 3’s debut on Twitter.
“The reason S3 took long is because it took long to write, because it was S3 of a show that we were scared to make worse than S2 or S1,” Harmon wrote on Saturday.
He added, “But don't worry about the content, because, the reason overthought slows you down is, you just do way more versions of stuff than needed.”
CBR said while Harmon did not dish out how far along are they with Season 3, he did express his excitement to continue the adventures of aging science genius Rick and hesitant grandson Morty in the multiverse.
He also denied that he is currently having a fallout with co-creator Justin Roiland, Screenrant said. Harmon explained, “As I speak, more articles are coming out about me and Justin fighting. Because it’s a less boring reason for a season to take long, and because I’m Dan Harmon, so it’s a smart f**king first guess, it just happens to be hilariously not true even in the slightest. If you do know of me at all you know that if Justin and I HAD ever fought, not only wouldn’t we be able to keep it secret, we’d be all too eager to share it with you. Also, that’s not what would make the show slow down! Fighting probably would have been a good idea, it might have sped us up.”
