‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7B is set to return on April. Lucy Hale, who plays Aria on the series, teased Uber A’s big reveal and admitted that some fan theories online were actually right.
During an interview with Teen Vogue, Hale teased that season 7’s incoming episodes will address the real identity of the antagonistic Uber A. She said, “I think mainly it's the question that the show has revolved around for seven seasons, which is Who is Uber A? Who is behind all of this? You finally get to figure out who that is and why this person has been out to get us for so long.”
She continued, “It kind of comes out of left field too. You see what's going on, and it makes a lot of sense. I was so scared that it would go in a direction that just didn't add up or make any sense at all. But it checked all the boxes for me, for lining up with everything, so I was happy with it and I think everyone else will be too.”
When asked about any fan theories worth considering, the admitted that some viewers managed to get some things right. She said, “I have seen a couple of fan theories where they got it pretty dead-on. I have no idea [how]. They just went back and re-watched episodes and figured it out.”
She added, “Then you get the theories that are totally wrong; they totally could make sense, but aren't right at all. It's so funny seeing all the comments on our Instagram pictures. [The fans] see wedding rings, and they see wedding veils. They piece it together. They're very smart.”
According to Bustle, some of the more popular theories include Aria, Spencer, or Wren as A.D., Mona and Caleb working together, and Ezra and Aria getting married.
Hale plays Aria Montgomery on Freeform’s long-running teen drama and mystery-thriller television series. She served as a main character from season 1 through season 7 together with Troian Bellisario’s Spencer, Ashley Benson’s Hanna, Shay Mitchell’s Emily, Sasha Pieterse’s Alison, and Ian Harding’s Ezra.
When asked about her character’s journey in the final season, Hale replied, “The last few episodes for Aria were my favorites of the whole series because she becomes a little dark. She loses it a little bit, and we get to see a different side of her, which I've been waiting to do that for the whole series.”
She continued, “It was fun, as an actress, to play. Since we knew it was the last season, the writers made every episode an extreme amount of fun. Just in general, we had a lot of good times with it.”
‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7B is scheduled to return on Freeform on April 18, 2017 with episode 11, titled "Playtime.” It will be followed by season 7’s episode 12, titled "These Boots Are Made for Stalking.”
It was confirmed that season7 would be the mystery drama television series’ final season since it premiered on June 2010 on ABC Family.
