“Power” Season 6 is, arguably, going to be the best entry for the crime drama series as the relationship of Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and Ghost (Omari Hardwick) have now devolved into a murderous plot. On one hand, Tommy now knows that Ghost manipulated him into killing his father.
On the other, Tommy tried to kill Ghost but ended up shooting Angela (Lela Loren) instead. With that on the table, it’s difficult to believe that both these characters will end up mending this massive rift in “Power Season 6.” Indeed, showrunner Courtney Kemp hinted at this very fact, Deadline reported.
“Think of the dynamic between these two old friends now. ‘You made me kill my dad,' 'You shot the woman I love, in an attempt to kill me.’ Not a lot of conversation can be had there,” Kemp said. She added that the crumbling of Tommy and Ghost’s friendship would steer the narrative of “Power” Season 6. For the beginning of the installment, at least.
Regarding the fate of Angela, it seems that the character has not been killed off. Loren has already been announced that she’s included in the cast of “Power” Season 6 as has been confirmed by Kemp herself. However, she did admit that the overarching plot is coming to an end although she didn’t disclose whether the sixth entry will close the story of the crime drama. “That would be inappropriate,” Kemp remarked.
She went on to say that she originally planned to end the series on the fifth installment. But due to STARZ’s request to extend it, the showrunner was more than happy to oblige as she revealed that she knows exactly where the story is heading. As for when “Power” Season 6 will air, nothing has been disclosed just yet. However, if the series follows its usual release pattern, audiences can expect it drop sometime between June or July.
